I am a mommy to 4 great kids. Of those four, I have 3 daughters ages 11, 9 and 4. With that said, I am always being asked to paint fingernails and toes! My oldest daughter who will be 12 this month will usually ask if she can paint her own nails. I usually dread when this question comes up because the first thing that comes to my mind is the mess that might come about. I don’t like trying to clean up spilled nail polish.
I was excited yesterday when I received a bottle of Piggy Paint in my mailbox to review. I had been reading online about this product and seen that the ingredients in this stuff were non toxic. I am trying to live life more eco-friendly, so this being non toxic was a plus for me. I had also heard that this stuff was odorless too. Now this was something I just had to see for myself. When I opened the box with the Piggy Paint, I immediately opened the container and started to sniff the paint. My husband looked at me like I was crazy. I simply told him that I was smelling this new kind of nail polish that does not smell like nail polish. To my surprise, what I had heard was true, there was no smell.
This morning after my 4 year old daughter Hannah ate breakfast, I told her I had some Piggy Paint and I wanted to paint her toenails. She was so excited and wanted to see what I was talking about. She wanted to know what exactly Piggy Paint was. I told her that she needed to get dressed for school first and I would paint her nails once she got dressed. She ran to her room and picked out her outfit for the day. She got dressed and then sat down and put her foot on my knee ready for her pedicure. Before I started painting she wanted to see the bottle for herself. She really got a kick out of the picture of the pig on the bottle and started laughing. What was cool was I received the “Girls Rule” color which matched the shirt she was wearing for today. After I painted her toes, the polish dried really fast and she insisted on her fingernails being painted as well. I could not say no, she was so happy. She also insisted on carrying around the bottle of polish around the house until I took it away. Having tile floors, I did not want her to drop the bottle on accident. This polish really ROCKS! We can now paint our nails and not have to worry about stinking up the house. My daughter could not wait to go show her teacher today, the polish on her fingernails that mommy had painted.
I thought I would share some additional information about Piggy Paint you might want to know. Piggy Paint is:
- Non-toxic
- Odorless
- Water based
- Hypoallergenic
- Dries to a hard and durable finish
This stuff is said to be “As natural as mud”! How cool is that? Say goodbye to your old smelly bottles of nail polish and get some bottles of this stuff. I am sure if you have daughters, they will enjoy painting there nails with this stuff as much as my daughter did.
